Hachette Speakers Bureau understands the positive impact reading can have on a child’s life. That’s why we have made it part of our mission to support Raising Readers, Hachette’s urgent and long-term campaign to highlight the importance of reading for pleasure with kids and encourage adults to foster a love of reading in their children.

For too many children, reading is simply not a part of their daily lives. Nearly a third of students in the United States say they never or rarely read for fun. The older a child gets, the less likely they are to read every day. Through Raising Readers, we help families appreciate the benefits of reading together.

HSB’s roster of speakers includes many popular and celebrated children’s book authors who know how to hold the attention of young audiences and answer their questions in informative, age-appropriate ways.

When children interact with passionate authors, they engage with books in new-and exciting ways. Please consider making a commitment to Raising Readers’ 10 Minutes Pledge. Reading with your child for just ten minutes a day instills good habits and can inspire a lifelong appreciation for books and learning.

Books build bright futures—help raise a reader.
